HIRER CANCELLATIONS
At Camplify, RV owners can choose which cancellation policy to offer to hirers and hirers can review the policy before booking.
There are three policies that owners can choose between.
- Flexible
- Moderate
- Strict
Flexible
> 10 Days prior to booking start date
Hirer: 100% Camplify credit (Refund available on request*)
Owner: 0%
4-10 Days prior to booking start date
Hirer Cancellation Cost: Booking Fee plus 10% of total booking value, balance Camplify Credit (Refund available on request*)
Owner: 10% of Hire Fees, Service Fee and any other charges (e.g. delivery) on the booking
< 4 Days prior to booking start date
Hirer: No credit, no refund
Owner: 100% of Hire Fees, Service Fee and any other charges (e.g. delivery) on the booking
Moderate
> 31 Days prior to booking start date
Hirer: 100% Camplify credit (Refund available on request*)
Owner: 0%
30-11 Days prior to booking start date
Hirer: 90% credit of the total value of the booking (Refund available on request*)
Owner: 10% of Hire Fees, Service Fee and any other charges (e.g. delivery) on the booking
<10 Days prior to booking
Hirer: No credit, no refund
Owner: 100% of Hire Fees, Service Fee and any other charges (e.g. delivery) on the booking
Strict
> 45 Days prior to booking start date
Hirer: 100% Camplify credit (Refund available on request*)
Owner: 0%
20-45 Days prior to booking start date
Hirer Cancellation Cost: Booking Fee plus 10% of total booking value, balance Camplify Credit (Refund available on request*)
Owner: 10% of Hire Fees, Service Fee and any other charges (e.g. delivery) on the booking
< 20 Days prior to booking
Hirer: No credit, no refund
Owner: 100% of Hire Fees, Service Fee and any other charges (e.g. delivery) on the booking
* Requests for refunds are paid less admin fees of £13 per booking. Refunds may take up to 30 days to process.
FAQs
How do I know which policies apply to which RV?
Every RV listing will display which of the default policies under the 'Cancellations' section. However, an Owner may have different cancellation policies for different dates. The listing cancellation policy is indicative only. The cancellation policy applicable to a booking will be displayed through the booking process once dates are requested. You will also receive a copy at the time of payment for your own records.
When does the cancellation take effect?
The cancellation is only considered valid when the hirer or owner cancels the booking through the platform. Cancellations cannot be made through email to Camplify support or by phone.
OWNER CANCELLATION
By accepting a booking, the owner is entering into an agreement with the hirer to provide their RV for hire on the booking dates.
If an owner needs to cancel a booking due to an emergency, the RV has been damaged or is off road for urgent repair the owner must promptly notify the hirer and Camplify. If an owner provides late notice or cancels for any other reason, cancellation charges will apply.
If an owner fails to fulfill a paid booking, such as not having the required registration, or not meeting a hirer for the handover this is a breach of the hire contract. Owner breaches will be deemed an owner cancellation.
If the owner cancels a booking, the following cancellation charges will apply.
> 14 Days prior to booking start date:
Cancellation charge £25 per booking
8-14 Days prior to booking start date:
Cancellation charge £100 per booking
< 7 days prior to booking start date:
Cancellation charge £250 per booking
Where the Owner cancels for reasons beyond their reasonable control, Camplify may waive the cancellation charge. However, the owner will be charged a £13 processing fee in respect of any refund to the hirer. Camplify may request evidence to confirm that the circumstance was beyond the owner’s reasonable control.
Camplify may also block out the owner’s calendar for the cancelled booking dates and issue a review that includes an unreasonable cancellation on a hirer.
AUTO CANCELLATION – NON-PAYMENT
If the hirer has not made payment within 72 hours of the owner accepting a booking the booking will be cancelled unless the owner grants the hirer a payment extension.
